Father's Day 2013

Sunday was Father's Day and Ellington was soooo excited.  I was too because ya'll, Robert is the best Daddy!  Our girls are SO lucky to have him as a Daddy.  I would have loved to give him a lawn mover (MUCH needed) or a new grill (MUCH wanted) but we had to go a little more low budget. :)  We got a couple of his favorite things along with a card and some artwork E made at the library story time.  Ellington was SO excited to give him his surprises on Sunday morning!

On Saturday Super Daddy made this awesome fort for Ellington. :)

Robert joined her for a little tea party on Sunday morning.

Before church I wanted to take a few pictures of Robert and Ellington outside.  Once we got outside Ellington said she knew just how they should do it and this was her idea:

LOVE these two!

Sunday night we had a FUN swim/pizza party with our small group at the Sullivan's house!  It was a blast!

The weekend was made EXTRA special by the fact that Robert didn't have to work on Saturday!  We were lucky that it fell on Father's Day weekend and we got to watch a Bulldog baseball victory together on Saturday afternoon.
I can't wait to see Robert as the Daddy to TWO little girls very soon!

36 Weeks and Other Things

We took these pictures last week before my doctors appt. (I was 36 wks then).  I am no longer taking any medicine to stop contractions (and haven't been for a couple of weeks now) and I have resumed my normal activities...as much as I can at 9 months pregnant. :)  Ellington and Robert are still taking excellent care of me!  I reeeeally hate it when women complain at the end of pregnancy.  Like, I really hate it.  But um, now I am remembering how hard it is :) and I am ready for little Finley to come!

Finely at 36 weeks and Ellington at 3 1/2 :)

Ellington requested that we take of picture of just her...

and one with Daddy too!

Tuesday evening of last week we went to campus for the first time since last year for Ellington to play in the fountains.

We had a really fun week last week.  We did WAY more than we have done all summer.  Wednesday morning we went to story time at the library, Thursday morning we went to a new story time/craft time at ChickfilA, and Friday morning we went to a La Leche League meeting. It was fun to do so much and helped pass the time!  I had pictured the beginning of our summer being action packed but because of bed rest that didn't really happen...so it was fun to have so many things we were able to do...and actually be able to do them!

Our Girl Has a Name!

After MUCH debate and going back and forth, we are excited to announce that we have a name for our baby girl!  We can't wait to meet Finley!

Memorial Day Weekend

Much like many things lately, Memorial Day weekend was kind of a bust. I am trying to keep in mind that this is just a season and the things we are going through (mainly a challenging end to this pregnancy), will pass.  Robert had to work Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and Monday, actually Memorial Day.  Obviously that made doing much kind of difficult...not to mention I really wasn't suppose to be doing much anyway!  It was hard that he didn't have any time off for the weekend.  And I must say I like social media (for the most part), but one of the things I hate about it is that I get really jealous at times like this when other families are all together doing fun holiday weekend things and we're at home while Robert is at work...like any other day.
My whole family was at the fair cabin for the weekend so we did decide to go there (since it's only an hour away) on Saturday evening when Robert got off of work and we stayed through early Sunday afternoon.  We weren't even there 24 hrs. but it was nice to do something other than stay in Starkville!  Although, I think our decision to go kind of came back to bite us because I woke up Monday morning (after Robert had already left for work) in EXTREME pain.  Our fair cabin is three floors, so there are two sets of stairs.  I went up and down them quite a bit and for someone who is very pregnant, had been on bedrest, and hadn't really been on stairs recently anyway...I think it was too much for my body.  I mean, I couldn't even walk on Monday.  It was awful.  Eventually I called Robert and told him that he just had to come home.  The pain was unbearable!  I spent most of Monday in the bed trying to find a comfortable position.  Robert decided to get our blow up pool out for E to enjoy.

Ya'll, I got up to take her picture and this was her pose:

She has quite the personality! :)

I can't believe I am posting this picture :) but eventually I decided to get in (clothes and all!) in hopes that it would help my pain a little bit.

So, that was our Memorial Day.  Our sweet neighbors were having a cookout and they were gracious enough to feed my family and send some supper over for me as well! :)
