Much like many things lately, Memorial Day weekend was kind of a bust. I am trying to keep in mind that this is just a season and the things we are going through (mainly a challenging end to this pregnancy), will pass. Robert had to work Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and Monday, actually Memorial Day. Obviously that made doing much kind of difficult...not to mention I really wasn't suppose to be doing much anyway! It was hard that he didn't have any time off for the weekend. And I must say I like social media (for the most part), but one of the things I hate about it is that I get really jealous at times like this when other families are all together doing fun holiday weekend things and we're at home while Robert is at work...like any other day.
My whole family was at the fair cabin for the weekend so we did decide to go there (since it's only an hour away) on Saturday evening when Robert got off of work and we stayed through early Sunday afternoon. We weren't even there 24 hrs. but it was nice to do something other than stay in Starkville! Although, I think our decision to go kind of came back to bite us because I woke up Monday morning (after Robert had already left for work) in EXTREME pain. Our fair cabin is three floors, so there are two sets of stairs. I went up and down them quite a bit and for someone who is very pregnant, had been on bedrest, and hadn't really been on stairs recently anyway...I think it was too much for my body. I mean, I couldn't even walk on Monday. It was awful. Eventually I called Robert and told him that he just had to come home. The pain was unbearable! I spent most of Monday in the bed trying to find a comfortable position. Robert decided to get our blow up pool out for E to enjoy.
Ya'll, I got up to take her picture and this was her pose:
She has quite the personality! :)
I can't believe I am posting this picture :) but eventually I decided to get in (clothes and all!) in hopes that it would help my pain a little bit.
So, that was our Memorial Day. Our sweet neighbors were having a cookout and they were gracious enough to feed my family and send some supper over for me as well! :)
