13 Months

I know you are thinking that these posts should be over now, but think again. :) Ellington is still changing soooo much every month that I want to keep documenting what she is up to. So, I'll probably still be doing monthly posts about her development for another year. :)

Ellington, what are you up to at 13 months old?
  • You wear size 18-24 month clothes and size 4 diaper
  • You weigh 22 pounds, 2 ounces
  • You sleep from about 7:30 pm-7:30 am, but you have been waking up once a night lately
  • You still take two naps a day when you are at home (Mon., Wed., Sat., and Sun.) and one long nap when you go to Parent's Morning Out (Tues., Thurs., and Fri.)
  • You have started fussing a lot in the car
  • You are getting a little better about table food, but usually won't eat fruits and vegetables. :( So, you still get baby food fruits and vegetables!
  • You still refuse a sippy cup, but you will take the occasional sip of water
  • You have dropped your morning bottle, but still have a bottle before nap and bed
  • You are now drinking whole milk
  • You are saying lots of new words! You now say: dada, mama, bye, uh-oh, ball, baby, boom, book (see the trend with the "b" words?!), pum-pum (pumpkin), Dus (Gus, our dog), Pop, duck
  • You cry when Mommy and Daddy hug or hold hands :)
  • You have started pulling up!!!!
  • You have started crawling short distances!!!!
  • You are REALLY thriving in physical therapy
  • You don't like your space to be invaded by other kids at school
  • You LOVE lift-the-flap books
  • You are still very hesitant around men
  • You "roar" when we ask you what the lion says
  • You understand a lot of what we say. If we ask you where certain things are (like, Where's your baby?) you look right at the object.
  • You say "Mmmmmmm" when we ask you if you want to eat
  • You point to your hair when we ask you where your nose is. :)
  • Your favorite snack is still Gerber Crunchies
  • You still don't like staying in the nursery at church and you are always in your Sunday School Teacher's lap when we come to pick you up. I don't think she can get anything done with you in there! :)
  • You love opening and closing Daddy's phone
Ellington, we love you more and more every day! Watching you grow and change is such a joy. We are so blessed to be your parents and love spending our days with you!
