The next few posts are going to be pretty hard to write. Just looking at the pictures makes me want to cry! We are getting to the point where the posts will be our last few days in Starkville. So sad. I never imagined living in Starkville so long and I never imagined being sooooo sad to leave. But it's definitely one of the hardest things I have ever done. When I think of Starkville I think of a sweet little place of comfort. That's really the only way I can describe it. I will always look back on our time there so fondly. Anyway, pass the tissue!
We were so so so blessed to live next door to really great friends. Ellington and Austin have been friends since being in the toddler class at school at church. When they met they weren't even 2 years old yet. When we moved in next door both girls loved being able to run back and forth to each other's house. I was especially thankful for it when I was extremely pregnant with Finley and right after she was born. Ashia was so sweet to have Ellington over to play often.
Before we moved Austin invited Ellington over for a little goodbye party. They had balloons, decorated cupcakes, and gave Ellington a gift. It was so sweet and a special memory for them to have together!
I think they have a bright future in the bakery business. ;)
Having next door neighbors to play with, to trick or treat with, to borrow everything from eggs to hair bows to milk, to kill snakes with, to pick up fallen Christmas tree with, to roast marshmellows with...was something I have realized I took for granted while we had it right there. So, to the Goods...we miss ya'll so much!
I didn't feel like Texas was home but I made some really good friends and it was extremely hard to leave them and know I would be friendless moving to GA.
ReplyDeleteOh my word... this made me laugh AND tear up. We miss y'all SOOOOO much!!!! I seriously think that Austin has talked about E every single day!
