23 Months

Ellington, how is it that you are less than a month away from being TWO YEARS OLD??!!  Oh my goodness, time is flying!!!  You are the light of our lives and we cherish every day with you.  So, little lady...what are you up to at 23 months old?

• You wear a size 2T and a size 5 diaper.
• You go to bed about 7:30 pm and wake up about 7-7:30 am.
• Your naps seem to be getting shorter and shorter.  Some days you only nap for an hour.
• You LOVE going to school and you love your teachers Mrs. Tiffany and Mrs. Amy.  It's so precious to hear you talk about school.
• You always ask for a cereal bar when I pick you up from school.  You love to come home and have  a snack before nap!  
• You have started singing so much.  Your favorite song to sing is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".
• You also are pretend playing more and more.
• You love to play a hug game with Daddy when he is here at bedtime.  You tell him if you want a "little one" or a "big hug".  You both love this game. :)
• You know most of the letters of the alphabet.  There are only a few that you don't know.
• You can count to 12!
• You repeat EVERYTHING that we say.
• You are starting to speak in sentences more every day.
• You still want yogurt for breakfast every single morning.
• You love watching Mickey Mouse and Little Einsteins (it's your new favorite).
• Your memory is amazing!  I should just start telling you all of the things I need to remember!
• You have gotten so good at doing puzzles!
• You have started yelling "Hey Mommy!  Come here!" if we are in different rooms.  The first time you did it your Daddy and I fell out laughing!!!  We are trying to get you to say, "please come here"...it's much more polite. :)
• You know some shapes....circle, square, oval, triangle, and diamond.  You sometimes get square and rectangle mixed up.  Diamond is your favorite shape for some reason!

We can't believe that you are almost 2, but we are so happy that you are growing and thriving just like you are suppose to!  We are sad our little baby is growing up, but we know that is exactly what is suppose to happen.  :)  I'll do one more monthly post (when you turned 2!) and then I'll probably give it a break until you are 2 1/2.  We are busy busy planning your Mickey and Minnie Mouse birthday party!  Hopefully it will be as special as you are! ;)
