Thursday Evening

What's that?! Two posts in one day??!! Yes indeed. You probably shouldn't get too use to it though. :) Tonight was the kick off (pun intended! ha!) of football season. Robert saved the flag we gave him for Father's Day to put up today. Ellington was SO EXCITED about helping him put up the new flag. She's precious.

This baby LOVES all things MSU.  It must just be in her blood.  The fact that we were all wearing MSU clothes tonight delighted her soul.  And when we pulled out her little cowbell??!!...well, life just couldn't get any better.

I tried a couple of new recipes for tonight's game.  I made dinner roll sandwiches and Paula Deen's Spinach-Artichoke Dip.  They were both delicious!

Ellington had the best time ringing her cowbell!  Somehow she knew without being told that when we scored she needed to ring it.  When we scored the first touchdown she was laying on the floor because I was putting on her pjs.  She was struggling to get up so she could "ring it"!  Ha!  Smart girl.

I hated to put Ellington to bed at her normal time because she was having a blast, but the past few days her nap has only lasted about an hour. :(  So....she was overly tired and desperately needed to go to bed!  We had so much fun together tonight and we are looking forward to the season!

  1. Thanks for commenting on my blog! nice to "meet" you!
I have to admit...not loving the MSU stuff, but my husband graduated from Clemson. So we cheer for Clemson (and The Ohio State where my husband grew up) for all things football. :)
